Our Paralegal, Gladys Garcia,
receives recognition at the
2022 Annual Statewide Legal Aid Conference
"Stirring the pot" was this year's Lassy (Legal Aid) Awards theme at the 2022 Annual Statewide Legal Aid Conference. Gladys Garcia, our paralegal, received the "Knows the Law But Not the Judge" Award for Best Paralegal. Gladys is dedicated in her support of the Virginia Poverty Law Center's efforts in many areas, including her work in the Eviction Legal Helpline and Spanish language support. In her spare time, Gladys assists The Community Tax Law Project with our English as A Second-Language efforts and our farmworkers initiative.
