The Legal Information Network for Cancer serves cancer patients across Central Virginia, including any patient receiving treatment through a Richmond area cancer care group or facility. Their mission is to help cancer patients and their families overcome legal and financial obstacles when they need it the most.
Legal Services of Northern Virginia is the largest legal aid organization in Virginia, helping thousands of clients each year in civil legal matters. They partner closely with other legal aid organizations, state and local bar associations, as well as the courts to serve the region’s low-income and neediest populations.
Virginia Legal Aid Society provides free civil legal services to eligible low-income residents in 20 counties and six cities in Central, Southside, and Western Tidewater Virginia. VLAS provides free information, advice, and representation in such areas as housing, healthcare, income and benefits, family issues, consumer, and education.
Legal Aid Works is a non-profit organization that advocates for those with the least access to the civil justice system in the City of Fredericksburg and Counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Caroline, Culpeper, Orange, Madison, Essex, Rappahannock, Fauquier, Westmoreland, Northumberland, Richmond County, Lancaster, King and Queen, and King William.
The Virginia Poverty Law Center is nonprofit organization committed to breaking down systemic barriers that keep low-income Virginians in the cycle of poverty through advocacy, education, and litigation. VPLC advocates for legislation that benefits low-income Virginians and provides training to legal aid organizations throughout the Commonwealth.
